Good enough for the price (see details). Conditionally recommended

You know what? Angetube LOOKS like a gray version of the Logitech C920. Is it just a really cheap white label version of this camera? The camera has the same general vibe, complete with the cheap tripod that comes with it. The camera has a traditional clip-on stand suitable for laptops and some thinner monitors. The tripod is very cheap, complete with a locking screw that doesn't really tighten. But hey, you have the camera anyway, right? Windows 10 (Build 20H2) quickly and automatically identifies the camera as a generic UVC device. The device reports a variety of resolutions, including 1080p60. Reported resolution is one thing, but actual detail is quite another. Here you come across the intersection of cheap optics and a tiny CCD. They have a manual focus ring that ensures you don't chase autofocus, but there's a limit to the sharpness that can be achieved. There are color fringes and spherical distortions in the corners. Unless you add just a little light, expect blurry dark areas and general noise in the image. This camera is a huge upgrade over almost anything built into a laptop. It's generally good for video conferencing too, with acceptable video quality (including a screenshot from Teams - a staff member using the camera is shown in the top right) and decent audio. Although I usually use a headset, the mics are pretty good and don't play speaker audio. If you want GOOD video, you probably shouldn't be looking at the $43 price point, as you'll have to consider the $200+ options as the lowest end of acceptable options. However, this is a good camera in the sub-$50 range. Conditionally recommended
