The material of this underwear is soft and smooth. My 4 year old wears a size 5 which fits well but a toddler who wears a size 6 will fit him too. I bought them the largest size and they fit well leaving some room for growth when he tried them on. After washing several times in cold water and drying on medium heat, they shrank to about the size of his old size 4 baby underwear. Overall, I'd say they're great for comfort and style (funny prints!), but make sure you have two Buy sizes bigger than you think.
