Personally I don't recommend it as the base isn't stable

I picked up this mic for my home studio for podcasting, the mic itself is fine but I wouldn't call it professional quality, the base is not strong enough. I brought 2 brands and both could not deliver good quality. so I went with blue. So if you need a better microphone than your laptop's built-in microphone, this is for you.
