Review on Spectre Performance 4697 Torque Converter by Justin Castro

Revainrating 1 out of 5

They work well in the dustbin. What do you mean, they're not in 8th grade right now?

So you've put months of work into your little Chevy block. New dart heads, long tube heads, high lift, high duration Isky cams and a 2500 rpm stall converter. This motor is the slip dripper you've been dreaming of all your life. ARP bolts are on order again and these bolts have a good rating and are CLASS 8! You get them, and they're made in China, and so does your mail-order wife, and they're a godsend. Wait, where are the class markers because they're not on the bolt, but you trust Revain because Jeff Bezos looks like your favorite appendage and he's never let you down, right? Your neighbor John has a Dodge Challenger with a Hemi 6.2 engine, which he thinks can only please. So you decide to queue at the light, the light turns green and you throw a hammer at your 383 rollator, you hear a loud bang and your engine goes red at 9000, you lose momentum and John leaves you in the dust. And you think I should have gone to Ace where they sell certified class 8 fasteners for about $1.25 each. Thanks to China, your engine has twisted and your wife is looking at John with hungry eyes.

Pros
  • Class 8 screws with black oxide coating for corrosion resistance
Cons
  • Big and bulky
