Review on ๐Ÿฆถ Little Foot: Low Presser Foot Upgrade for Featherweight 221 & New Wider Left Side Feature by Andrea Jackson

I didn't think I would like it but I really like it

I didn't think I would like this foot because it looked like cheap plastic and I didn't think it would slide on material, like a metal foot. However, my recently purchased 1955 Singer Featherweight 221K came without a quarter inch wide foot and there was no seam guide mark on the sewing plate, so I had to do something to sew a quarter inch seam. I was very surprised that I REALLY like this sewing foot! Whatever it is, it doesn't feel cheap at all. It's very strong and crisp (no distortion) and really nice to see through while sewing. The red labels are also very helpful. It literally glides over the fabric like a metal foot. In fact, I would say that I love this sewing foot as much as I love the quarter inch metal foot I use when I sew on my Bernina. A NOTICE. Please note that this is a straight stitch foot only (the needle hole is a small circle and not suitable for zigzag stitches) which is not a problem for me as the Featherweight only sews straight stitches. If you use it on a machine that sews zigzag or decorative stitches and you forget that it's only for straight stitches, you'll end up breaking the needle.

Pros
  • looking forward to it
Cons
  • embarrassed
