I was foolish to expect this to replace my dustpan but the 'high performance' description misled me. I should have paid more attention to the weight of the item which is 8 ounces. It's actually 7.4 oz, while my old scoop (Maid of Honor, apparently a Sears brand) weighs 1 lb 6.2 oz. The new one may be entirely satisfactory, but it's definitely less significant.
