This was my first "kit" I received and all in all, a little overpriced for what you get. The total combined values of these items is less than others if you purchase the kits separately and you end up with a small fermentor. It's still fairly high quality, with the exception of the bottles which seem fairly cheap (background in plastics molding).For this price, I would simply purchase the following:*1 filling wand*10' length 1/4" OD tubing*1 5 gal fermenter with tap*1 5 gal bottling bucket*Plastic Bottles/caps*1 finished stove top beer kit no boil*1 airlock*1 stirring paddleThe price will be comparable and you get the same experience.You get more by purchasing a brew kettle, which is where the actual "beer making" happens to me. With this kit, everything's kind of done for you already. Also the spoon is a little gimmicky, as most recipes will have you dispense priming sugar into the bottling bucket. All in all though, this is a decent starter set for someone who knows nothing of beer making and has no equipment or time to look up what you need.
