Properly Packaged Heavy Duty Razor

When I was recently reviewing a pack of DreamGenius 3-Blade Razors, I gave them a one star rating for their bulky, clunky, excessive and polluting packaging. The razors were ok but the packaging was a disaster. A shame! This problem does not exist with this DreamGenius 5-blade razor. The razor and five sets of blades are tightly packed in a tiny, plain, thin, recyclable cardboard box the size of an inkjet printer cartridge. Bravo! The elegantly contoured razor handle is a little longer than I prefer; It's at least partially metal rather than plastic, making it noticeably heavier and a little less nimble around the contours of the face (or elsewhere) than the bulky Sam's Club three-blade razors I usually use. Soft rubber inserts with tiny "tread blocks" like high-performance Michelin sports tires ensure reliable traction on dry or wet roads. Four heads with five blades are mounted in a hard plastic case, one is in a box. with a thin plastic screen over the blades. There are blue "glide strips" on the heads, but I didn't really notice any lubrication when shaving; the blade gripped a little more than I'm used to. I'm a close shave freak so I've never found an electric shaver to my satisfaction. This razor delivers a shave as good as any I've tried. I didn't use the first head enough to appreciate its durability, but I expect it to last well for about a week. I usually rate household "products" like this razor at an average of three stars. unless they really stand out from the competition. This one is slightly better than many others I've used over the years, so I'm upping the rating by one star.
