Great for mudroom front door

UPDATE 5/2016: I've washed this in my HE machine a few times. The first time I made a mistake and washed in Heavy Duty mode. The rubber backing started to fall apart and I had weird shrinkage. So now I wash on the gentle cycle. Make sure you hang it up to dry - DO NOT put it in the dryer. Still looks good enough for a messy room. If I had to do it all over again I would just wash the outside on the deck with some kind of detergent and dry with my hands. I still have one of these rugs and I do that with it - no problem. I use this rug in my messy room in front of the door. It looks really good/beautiful in this place. This rug is not plush and thick. It's beautiful yet functional - just what I was looking for. It's thin enough to fit under an open door, but thick enough to absorb drips and dirt from your shoes. I love that it has a rubber backing so I don't need a mat underneath. And it's inexpensive enough not to feel too "valuable" for dirty shoes. The colors on the website are pretty accurate. Blue is blue-grey, dark red is deep red, green is sage-brown, and the stems are more brown. Very pretty and not too busy. It was rolled up and packed in a box. It lay flat straight away with just a little curl at the very end that was in the roll - it flattened out within an hour or so. I quickly vacuumed to remove the factory white pile - the carpet does not appear to pill. I think the fluff was from something else because they were all white. Labels don't say machine washable but I wash in my large HE machine when needed.
