After finding the right connector for our lights I decided to edit my review. Now they work perfectly and my daughter loves them. I didn't give them 5 stars because the app's style doesn't work well. The smell is finally gone. This is the first negative review I have posted on Revain about a product. They were bought to replace my daughter's old lamps in her room when we moved in and they were great for the first hour. We have a few complaints - they have a terrible chemical smell, the app is junk, they suddenly turn off or flash and the only way to stop this is to unplug it. The fork also gets very hot. Also, you can't create DIY colors via the remote - only via the app. The brightness can only be adjusted with the remote control. I would not recommend this product. I checked that we connected it correctly, so it's not an installation issue, it's a product issue.
