I received this recently so I don't know how long it will last. But I used it tonight and I can tell you that from the first time it's the best pistol I've ever used. Very easy to use. Comfortable to hold. I love how you can start pulling the trigger to bring the earring closer to the piercing mark before completing the piercing for more precision. I will update in a few months. Update: Now it's a few months later. I have treated the gun with care and cleaned it very well. Still works like a charm. I've used it several times as I've bought enough of it for a period of time.
