I prefer NOW internal coil spring compression tools over external spring clamps.

I used this to completely restore the suspension on my '66 Mustang. I have external (external springs) spring clamps but this internal spring compressor worked fantastic. Add some lube to the bolt before tightening with an electric or pneumatic tool (much easier). I prefer NOW internal coil spring compression tools to external spring clips.
