I have wide calves so I have to buy wide boots but I hate them hanging down at the ankle. After searching the internet for a solution, I came across these boot straps. While I've had some success with them, there are a few downsides as well. They are quite easy to put on in boots and since the straps are elastic they usually feel comfortable. One downside is that when I pull the calf strap tight enough to hold it in place, there is only a small amount of velcro available to attach it to the boot, meaning I didn't get the velcro all the way over the inside can get. I decided to add velcro to the front of the boot to make it taller. When worn, it keeps the boot from sagging around my ankle while I'm standing. When I sit down, I usually correct them by pulling them back up when I stand up. They work best in a thicker pair of boots that aren't too tight. I have another pair that has a thinner stretch fabric on the back and you can see the strap, especially the buckle part. It doesn't really bother me, but it might bother someone else. All in all, I'm glad I bought these to try, but I'm not sure how much they're worth for keeping my ankles from sagging.
