I agree with others here that this is a really well made product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Surprisingly these days it comes packaged in a box of above average quality. There are no settings, it just connects. I used this device to connect a Sony BDP-S5100 Blu-ray player to a Yamaha RX-596 receiver. Please note that this device only supports uncompressed LPCM 2-channel digital audio. There is no sound on the first connection. I went into the Blu-ray player settings and found the digital audio output settings and had to change the default "Auto" setting to "PCM" before I could get any sound. After this change it worked fine. The volume is a bit quieter with this unit than with the direct connection I had previously with another player, but it's not a significant difference. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to connect a device with only a digital output to an analogue one. receiver or amplifier.
