Shiny as advertised, like every pound sterling. I use it to carry my house key and caught it twice with my thumb while taking my t-shirt off and it didn't break. After a few months of the ones you buy at the hardware store, all the trimmings wear off and I, for example, start to develop a green circle around my neck. Never again! I think the lobster clasp is a lot more attractive than some of the others. I also have a parakeet, a miniature parakeet that can open a latch with its beak and tongue. Google the pacific blue parrot and see how tiny it is.
