So I've owned these for over a year now, and have used them for many hikes to high mountain lakes (above timberline) in Colorado to go fishing. The trails are typically rocky and steep, so I use the push-on rubber asphalt tips, both to have a secure grip on the rocks and to save the tungsten tips. The poles themselves have been very sturdy and reliable. My only complaint is that the rubber asphalt tips come off too easily. I am very aware of this and make it a point to watch the tips while hiking, but several times I have lost one on trail and had to backtrack to find it. It would be much better if they attached more securely, such as by screwing on. I would give them 5 stars if not for this one flaw.Overall though, they are a very good value for the money.
