First Impression - my new review

Just received them, 1 week early, nice! The grip is not too thick, feels nice. The wrist bands indeed feel soft and are easy to adjust. The very top black bit is rubbery: offers nice grip. The clips to fix the poles at a certain hight are easily adjustable by hand by turning the wheels a bit. The clips are plastic, but seem fine, I will tell you about durability after my trip. The poles seem strong and held my full weight. On the attachables (the mud and snow thingies) is a screw thread, but…

Pros
  • Outdoor Recreation
Cons
  • May not provide enough stability for very steep or rugged terrain

Good Poles for the price.

I'm honestly writing this review because they sent me a picture of a raccoon (big fan) asking for a recommendation. I might not have, because god knows our only value to our new AI overlords is how we rate things on a 1 to 5 system and I've been playing hard to get lately. But! This note came with a fanny pack! Its pretty dope too. Big ups for the useful swag. Anyway, my review of the poles are as follows:I would recommend buying these poles as a first time user. They are inexpensive and…

Pros
  • SUPREME COMFORT: Anti-Slip natural cork grips adjust to the hand, absorb sweat, and keep hands cool and dry during long distance hikes. Air ventilated, extra padded, adjustable wrist straps provide all day comfort. The extended foam sleeve has ridges and is made of soft EVA foam to easily handle switchbacks and abrupt changes in terrain.
Cons
  • May not be as durable as other types of hiking gear

Saved Fatigue In My Knees

My wife wanted trekking poles for our trip to Yosemite coming up this year so I researched and decided on these Foxelli aluminum collapsible and am glad I chose these. I bought a set for me too because even though I hike much less than her (I'm more of a cyclist), my research (which admittedly amounted to reading reviews on Revain) indicated that trekking poles can save some energy, so with Yosemite approaching, why not as trekking poles seem pretty doggone affordable. ANY-hoo.We went on a hike

Pros
  • ONE SIZE FITS ALL: Flip Lock Technology allows user to adjust pole’s length quickly and easily while firmly holding its position. Perfect fit for short or tall MEN, WOMEN & KIDS. Provides benefits to seniors and those carrying extra weight. Retractable from 24" to 55", this makes Foxelli walking poles one of the most versatile and compact in its class.
Cons
  • Could be cumbersome to use on narrow or crowded trails

Strong, stable and comfortable at a good price.

I've tried a number of brands including expensive high-end types like Black Diamond / Leki. Every one of them has some major fault. The black diamonds for example have become thinner and more flimsy (probably just to save a few measly ounces), also the "ergo" bend at the top of some models increases flexing and decreases stability when palming the top of the pole while moving down a very steep mountain slope.I often hike mountains and other difficult terrain for long hours. The ideal trekking…

Pros
  • Camping & Hiking
Cons
  • Could be prone to bending or breaking under heavy pressure

I purchased 3 sets: one for myself, one for my husband and one for my 99 year old Dad who walks daily. My dad has severe vision impairment. He tried the poles, but found he really needed to devote his attention to watching where he steps, rather than using the poles correctly, so he asked me to return his pair. I was so impressed that I got a letter from the company's CEO asking if there was anything wrong and whether there was anything he could do to correct the problem! I explained the…

Great poles with one annoying flaw

So I've owned these for over a year now, and have used them for many hikes to high mountain lakes (above timberline) in Colorado to go fishing. The trails are typically rocky and steep, so I use the push-on rubber asphalt tips, both to have a secure grip on the rocks and to save the tungsten tips. The poles themselves have been very sturdy and reliable. My only complaint is that the rubber asphalt tips come off too easily. I am very aware of this and make it a point to watch the tips while…

Pros
  • These poles are well made, easy to use and come with excellent instruction for their use.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for very tall or very short individuals

Excellent! I'm a fan.

I've been hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park since I live within 26 miles. I tried trekking poles on Oct.4, 2022 for the first time, that I bought in February at Costco. They failed. A screw fell out while I was using them so the lengths were different. I wanted new poles and fast, since I was hiking to four lakes on Oct. 11th. I ordered these and they were delivered the next day. They come with excellent directions on how to make adjustments but I was especially glad to read the part on…

Pros
  • Ergonomic grip for comfortable handling during long hikes.
Cons
  • Could be challenging to store properly when not in use

Great product backed by great customer service!

Ordered a pair of trekking poles for our hiking trip this summer. They are very comfortable (love the cork handle), light, and I really appreciate the lever locks. I am also a photographer and I cant stand any tripods with the twist lock mechanism. The locks hold the extended sections no problem! No slippage if you read the directions on how to tighten them if necessary (no tools needed either). On the first available weekend after I got the poles, I tried them out on some trails near my home…

Overall great product

I've purchased these poles for my TMB (Tour du Mont Blanc) trek and was very pleased with the product. The poles are lightweight, very comfortable to handle (to fold, to extend and to carry on), reliable on the trek (you may put all your weight on these when climbing stairs or descending steep slope) and comfortably fit your hands. The only caveat (and maybe a suggestion for further improvement of this product) - I was using "asphalt and rocks" tips during the trek, it was great, but sometimes…

Pros
  • Lightweight yet strong materials for effortless handling.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with certain body types or physical limitations

Trekking Poles - my new review

I bought these to help me get around after my TKR surgery and they helped better then a cane for inside or outside. Could be prone to slipping or sliding on wet or icy surfaces.

Pros
  • RISK-FREE PURCHASE: Don’t worry about missing Amazon’s 30-day return window. We offer a 120-day, no questions asked, money back guarantee with a 3 year warranty for defects. If you’re not 100% satisfied, we’ll give you your money back. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE.
Cons
  • Could be prone to slipping or sliding on wet or icy surfaces

Sturdy and Compact for my opinion

Of course, this is just a hair heavier than carbon fiber, but one of the ones that I found after much research to be the most compatible. I wanted something that would be light weight, and foldable. Having a cork handle was also important to me to avoid the BPA in plastic (yes.I'm overboard, but you don't have to me ;-) You should see the way I eat. LOL). Anyway, the poles are reliable and well made. My only gripes are these: 1. tightening the screens to keep the poles from collapsing required…

Pros
  • Using on daily walks hoping to increase calorie burn.
Cons
  • May be difficult to adjust to the correct height for some individuals

Lightweight Sturdy Poles

The package comes complete with poles, carrying case, assorted tips, and pamphlet. The pamphlet is very clear about how to set up and care of the poles. I've just logged a few miles on these, and them to be very comfortable. I actually like the cork grip better than my recently retired Leki poles. The Lekis lasted thousands of miles so we'll see how these do, but they seem to be of solid construction, yet lightweight. The clamping system is easy to adjust and the pamphlet descries how to test…

Pros
  • Provides great value for money
Cons
  • May not be as easily replaced or repaired as other types of hiking gear

quality product , fast shipping and super Durable

These poles were not used for your typical trail trekking , I use them for back country OFF trail hunting trips as well as shelter poles and shooting sticks so they get a beating and they have held up beyond my expectations! A++++

Pros
  • Improves your overall hiking experience.
Cons
  • May require additional training or practice to use properly

Awesome poles! on my review.

The poles are super lightweight, extremely sturdy and easy to adjust, with a great design that makes securing their length a breeze! All the attachments fit inside the outside pocket of the storage bag and there is a fanny pack for ease of access to parts when hiking! (or you can use it for snacks when hiking!) I wish I would have had these when I hiked in the Grand Canyon last summer! Will definitely make great use of them! IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR HIKING POLES, BUY THEM! YOU WON'T BE…

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain.
Cons
  • May not provide enough support during long hikes or treks

Best value hiking poles around

I have gone through many sets of hiking poles, and these are the best value around. They are very sturdy, have tips for many different hiking surfaces that are easy to attach, and they retract to a shorter length than most other products on the market, which makes it great for traveling. I have about 75 miles on this set, and there are no signs of wear. Look forward to many great hikes with these poles.

Pros
  • Provides stability on steep inclines and declines.
Cons
  • Could be less effective on soft or muddy terrain

Just what I didn't know I needed

I bought these for a hiking trip in the Smokies. One of my coworkers said that I would need them for some of the trails I wanted to do. They helped out my knees so much. They were truly a life saver out on the mountains. It was slick, rainy, and steep. They helped keep me stable and took pressure off of my knees.

Pros
  • Provides unparalleled stability on uneven terrain.
Cons
  • May not be as comfortable to use as other types of hiking poles

Great Poles on my review.

These are great hiking poles. We used them for hiking down into the Grand Canyon (many other hikes too, but that was the biggest). If you like hiking poles, I highly recommend. I did discover I don’t like hiking with poles, but it had nothing to do with the quality, just personal preference. My husband really likes them.

Pros
  • Shock-absorbing technology for reduced impact on joints.
Cons
  • May not be as intuitive to use as other types of hiking equipment

What I needed on my review.

With age comes issues and I didn't want to stop enjoying the outdoors. These poles are light weight and just what I needed to help keep my balance! Thanks for the extra bonus bag and keep up the good work!

Pros
  • Have only had them for 2 days and 3 walks. Fantastic performance thus far.
Cons
  • May not be ideal for those with limited storage space

Lightweight and easy to adjust

I've used other trekking poles in the past and these are so much better. They are easy to adjust, pack up small, has a nice carrying case, and they are so lightweight. I felt like I was gliding through the woods.

Pros
  • Made with durable materials that can withstand tough environments.
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for heavier hikers or backpacks

Excited to start using

I received the Aluminum 7075 Trekking Poles quickly and in excellent condition. They appear to be well made and sturdy. I'm excited to start using them tomorrow! Love the ice blue color!

Pros
  • Can be used by both beginners and seasoned hikers.
Cons
  • Could be uncomfortable to use for those with grip or hand issues
