Review on Dorman C660169 Parking Brake Cable by Noe Epps

This cable came with a connector that didn't work and damaged the end of the cable. 1) The connector was of poor quality and poorly crimped so the cable just came loose when the parking brake was applied. 2) The metal head of the cable end is much softer than the metal of the cable it replaces, as evidenced by the notch left after connector failure. 3) The original cable had a protective sleeve over the exposed cable to prevent rusting. This cable doesn't work. I ended up using the original connector and positioning the damaged end of the cable in a way that I think should last a while, but I doubt this cable will last close to ten years for the original cable it replaces. . I think this is my first Dorman role. If it doesn't work I'll try AC Delco. If that doesn't help, I'll buy a Dodge OE cable.
