Nothing frustrates a knitter more than not having the right needle size! I really had to knit a thick blanket. I'm a freelance knitter, so I always have to re-knit. Is always. No. 50 spokes did not fit. I couldn't find #17 circular needles in any of the stores I visited. I could find them as straight needles but not as circular needles. Trying to knit a blanket with 100 stitches and 4 strands of bulky wool attached with straight needles is like pulling your hair out. I'm so glad I found her! The wire (plastic) seems to connect to the needles very well, I haven't had any problems so far and am pretty rough with them. It's actually a size 36, not a 35, which was fine for my purposes, but be warned if your size really matters. The yarn glides over it very well and is great for a blanket. They were a bit "twisted" when first unwrapped, but if you've ever knitted on circular needles, you know this ALWAYS happens until there's some weight on the wire. Overall I think this is the perfect duvet. knitting needles!
