This humidifier has a pretty simple idea: submerge the mesh material in water and then make sure the fan blows air over it. Sounds simple, but it has many advantages over other types of humidifiers: ultrasonic and steam. This humidifier won't leave a white layer of sticky powder like residue on electronics and furniture, and your home won't feel like a stuffy sauna. Instead, this humidifier increases overall humidity by 10-15% (at the lowest setting). Which in turn increases slightly dry air from 30% humidity to a more comfortable 45-50%. This will make breathing easier, especially for those with breathing problems, and better for your skin! I always use a low setting that makes no noise and is more like the sound of a gentle breeze. I first bought the model without the extra water tank and am so glad I swapped it out for this one with a tank. As a result, I can only pour water every other day! The humidifier is made of very high quality plastic, which is thick and feels comfortable. In terms of maintenance, I only have to wash the wick every two weeks and also rinse and (rarely) descale the bottom bowl.
