Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhance Your Vehicle's Performance with Monroe Shocks & Struts Max-Air MA822 Shock Absorber by Ryan Nguyen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy DIY project for a smooth ride! Save yourself some money!

I purchased these air shocks for my 2005 Buick La Saber Custom with 31,000 miles based on previous reviews and have been pleased with all of the comments. I've only had trouble with self-faults when trying to install the nut on top of the shocks, the metal washer was not threaded properly and I couldn't get the nut to start on the threads. The washing machine looks upside down and that put me off. The shocks didn't look like the ones I have until I stretched them fully. Just hook the bottom bar to something and they'll extend slightly. The bore or size of the shocks looks slightly larger than my stock ones. The shocks do not come with a bottom nut and bolts, just washers and a top nut that secures the shock in the trunk. Two of my clamps (nuts) were already broken, but I was still able to use them by holding them with pliers. I also want the nuts and bolts to come with the new shock absorbers. Also, I placed the clip on the airline before putting it back on the Air Shock and it sure clicked. Much easier than trying to straighten the clamp after depressing the shock air cap and then the clamp. Looks like my Buick went up about two inches. Let's see how she fares on our trip next week.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
