Within an hour of installation my daughter grabbed a chair, climbed on it and opened the pool gate. I was very disappointed to find that simply lifting the handle up was enough to open the mechanism. There is absolutely nothing to make it difficult for children. the monkey could do it. When my daughter saw me doing it, it was game over. Of course it comes with a key, but now you have to remember to lock it when you're not around. You won't always remember that. ONCE THAT EVERYTHING WILL GO WRONG. I give it 2 stars because the construction is solid and the kit is good. Self-tapping screws work very well. For 5 stars, all you need is some kind of push/pull safety pin before the top handle is lifted. This must require more pressure than the baby can muster.
