Review on πŸ“» Radioddity DB20-G Mobile Radio for Car Vehicle: 20W Long Range Two Way Radio with Cigarette Lighter Plug, 500 Channels, VOX, and Display Sync - Ideal for Off Road Overlanding 4x4 Adventures by Gary Stringfield

Tiny radio. Radio

Seems like a good little radio for the price. It comes with a programming cable and you can download the software from the Radioddity website. I noticed a few things. 1) The radio comes with all GMRS channels tuned to "narrow" band. 2) You must program the repeater settings (CTCSS codes, etc.) using the radio, not the programming software. If you make changes to the repeater frequency in the software, the transmit frequency will (incorrectly) be adjusted to the receive frequency and there is no way to undo this. This does not apply to a repeater. Update: About a week after I posted the above review, I received an email from Radioddity stating that they had switched the channels to broadband and fixed the repeater frequency bug in the software. I'm very impressed with the response! After another week with the radio, I'm even more impressed with it. Using the same antenna, I had better reception with the DB30 than with the Wouxun KG-905G (the "high-end" guide). I was told that both radios sounded very good on the repeater at about 20 miles but reception was better on the DB30.
