Compact device with amazing performance and quality for the price.

Exceeded my expectations for a device at this price. Aside from the lower power output than my $250 BTech radio, the sound quality, features, and ease of programming make this radio a great value. It still hits repeaters 15-20 miles away.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Tape

If you want a gmrs radio you can't go wrong with this one!

The radio is easy to use. I tested it with a dummy load and it was 20 watts on high and 10 on low! This is the first time for me. The sound is crisp and clear. I can't understand why gmrs is not used in my region. Get one of these radios and start a local area network. This is a great way to get to know someone better through conversation rather than texting.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Good but not great

Nice GRMS Mobile is the best portable audio and video device

The DB20-G radio is a good compact GRMS mobile phone. Used for programming radioddity downloads and k-type cables, not difficult to use but not chirp. The radio power was less than 20 watts, but not by much. I was able to easily hit repeaters 16 miles away. The radio can also control other repeaters. The photo shows the installation in the FJ Cruiser on the GPS bracket. Easy to use and scan, good value for money.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some problems

gave the radio to a friend

does not switch to repeater mode. The instruction is "Go to function 10 to access RPT mode". but there is no function 10 on my radio, it jumps over it. I would not buy this radio again. And their website is useless. I just got an email from Vevina at the company and she told me how to set up the repeater. which is not in the so-called operating instructions. which is almost useless. and the information on the company's website is the same as in the useless guide. but I finally got the radioโ€ฆ

Tiny radio. on Portable Audio Video

Seems like a good little radio for the price. It comes with a programming cable and you can download the software from the Radioddity website. I noticed a few things. 1) The radio comes with all GMRS channels tuned to "narrow" band. 2) You must program the repeater settings (CTCSS codes, etc.) using the radio, not the programming software. If you make changes to the repeater frequency in the software, the transmit frequency will (incorrectly) be adjusted to the receive frequency and there is no

"Powerful " radio

Wonderful interface! You can view two channels (talk one at a time), scan for VHF and UHF frequencies like Ham and Fire, and click on local repeaters to increase range. No antenna is supplied, which is an additional cost (Midland's new low profile GMRS antenna runs up to 100W, has low SWR and is cheap). There are "hidden" repeater channels ("DIY") that allow you to program different codes for the same frequency. So if you're going to another area where the repeater operates on the sameโ€ฆ
