Just got this thing, love it

Initially installed pfSense with no problems, after much deliberation I decided to fit an extra SSD and install Proxmox with KVM pfSense , so that I can also run other containers (e.g. Unifi Controller). Good thing the device has an extra m.2 slot as well as a SATA+ power adapter out of the box and they upgraded the processor from the 4005U to the newer 4030U. The 4030U has more features because it's 13% faster overall in the same footprint. The design is fairly solid, all-metal body radiator. A few things to note: I had a loose screw that was moving around inside the unit (I don't know where it goes, but I think it's just superfluous) and one of the self-adhesive "legs" was missing. Will provide an update after I've gotten some more use.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options
