Great addition when buying an SSD, use it to clone your old drive, then replace it and use the old drive as portable storage. It's easy to open, so replace it. It's very convenient. The sleeve holds discs of all sizes and the included foam stickers prevent them from rattling. The short cable is always present and works great with a laptop or USB hub. Desktop users have to adapt somehow. On my laptop it's recognized and accessible quickly, transfers are very fast but I haven't tested this to see if it might be faster than my hard drive
