For about 30 years, I've always been recording movies or TV shows at home when I wasn't at home. I still do that today, only to a limited extent. Recommended for people who don't have a DVR or Netflix.

Works fine for a few entries but after using and reusing a few, after a few Paint 't last. You can only write maybe ten times and you're done

I would have BIG, BIG PROBLEMS if I didn't get them. And unlike the VHS cassettes sold on the open market, among those sold by AMAZON there are no defective ones.

One of these tapes had torn in the corner and the plastic part rolled into the other, it seemed to have a 'dry' spot at the beginning, meaning the tape came out distorted for a few minutes and worked fine after that. The odd thing about these tapes was that they didn't have the usual mark next to the "tab" indicating what brand and tape speed they were (eg: Sony T-120). They're hard enough to come by so getting less than quality is disappointing!

I really liked the fast delivery but the contents were a bit disheveled. 5 cassettes still had (torn) a 5-bag cellophane pack as if it hadn't been stored well in a warehouse and the 6th was dangling a bit in the box. It was also cracked, with one corner completely destroyed and the dust cover broken on one of the hinge pins. Only the broken ribbon is useless, and the rest seem to be alive. Sure, they've probably been in a cold, damp warehouse somewhere for a few decades, but I expected to be satisfied with a product I've enjoyed in the past. FOUR tapes will not record both audio and video on any of the three VCRs without "noise". Tried clearing VCRS to see if that was the problem. NO! Bad TAPE. Since I have many cassettes from ten years ago that still work well, I don't understand.
