Feels light, suitable for cutlery and knife accessories

This knife is comfortable to hold and cuts well and I like its size for preparing vegetables for salads and cooking. But it's a lot lighter than other chef's knives I've owned, not sure if it's just the wooden handle or something else. Because of this, I don't like using it (my spouse doesn't approve of it). It's always supposed to be hand washable, but I've casually put it in the dishwasher a few times and it doesn't look any worse.
