When my air conditioner stopped cooling I wanted to check if the run capacitor was bad. My existing multimeter did not have a capacitor function. I bought this multimeter to test the working capacitor. My AC has a dual running condenser and the fan was running so I wasn't sure if the condenser was the problem. When tested, the fan connector showed 4.79 uF and the compressor showed 0 uF. Should have been 70uF. I ordered a replacement capacitor from Revain and tested it with this meter. The fan showed 4.89 and the compressor showed 68.2 uF. Near enough . In fact, it turned out to be a condenser and after replacing the condenser, my air conditioner started working normally. The investment in this counter was worth it for that alone. The large numbers are very easy to read on the display. The auto light feature is useful. I tried the voltage and continuity and NCV functions and they worked correctly. I haven't used the other functions yet. I highly recommend it for the wealth of measurements it offers for the price.
