Review on Salomon Outline GTX Hiking Shoes by Mike Fedd

Recommended: my rating

I was looking for an alternative to wearing boots to work. They're as light as running shoes, comfortable, and have solid heel and arch support. I will check them for reliability and update later. So far they seem great.... *Update* It's been a month now and I've used them in a variety of conditions. They took about a week to break in a bit but now they feel great. The tongue feels a bit swollen for the size of the shoe, but I take that as an extra layer of protection. Shoes work great in extreme heat and humidity, they don't heat up the feet. I've also tested them in decent puddles or wet environments. In general they are excellent. I recommend. I'm not a sponsor, just a regular employee.

Pros
  • Protective toe cap for extra safety
Cons
  • They can cause blisters or leg fatigue.
