These pajamas are so soft! I'm a size 5 and would say they are probably true to size. (I got these for my 2 year old, my son is 39" and 38lbs so we had to keep going taller, he is 4T in all other clothes and 5T in his pajamas) The waistband is not too small and the shorts and shirt are a good length. The only problem with them is that they stretch over time when he wears them, which can be an issue for some people. I washed them on lukewarm and dried them on medium and they look the same after the first wash with no wear. Very sweet and quite tasteless but the colors were exactly what I expected
