Review on Premium Quality Mood Therapy 100 Rattan Reed Diffuser Replacement Sticks - Long-lasting Fragrance Enhancers by Lori Coleman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They work well in reed diffusers, oils and accessories

**FYI: There may be sellers here with bad reeds, but the reeds I've bought here are good. I bought my reeds from Dsbalic and made Revain. Everyone would benefit if reviewers included the seller's name in their ratings. If you have received bad sticks, please report this to Revane. I have received and reported counterfeit goods from sellers on Revain in the past. Revan took care of that. Revain won't know until we tell them. An hour after adding this reed to my oil blend, my room started smelling. It seems some people either get bad reeds, or maybe the fragrance oil isn't made for reeds. diffusers; There are many bad mixes, so the buyer should be careful. First you need to use the right oil, otherwise the reed will clog and the fragrance won't disperse. The best base oils are safflower oil and sweet almond oil. Do not use any other base oils as they will only clog the reeds and will not carry your scent to the top. Be sure to use quality essential oils when blending your own fragrance. I even used a perfume that I don't like but smells nice in the room. Many cheap store bought blends use cheap oils and the wrong base oil. They put them in pretty packages and charge a lot of money, but sometimes they don't work. Do not use blends that use "dipropylene glycol" or "DPG" as the base oil as these will clog your blades and not work. Read the ingredients list before purchasing. I make my own fragrance blend for my reed diffusers. I use a very small bottle with a small opening. I have a few glass perfume bottles that have leaked so I used them as reed diffuser bottles. Any small glass bottle/vase will do. I add about 16 drops of essential oil in total, then fill the bottle with safflower oil (leave some room for the reeds to keep it from overflowing). The essential oil should never make up more than 50% of the finished mixture; I drive less. The base oil should make up 50% to 75% of the finished mixture. Some essential oils are thicker than others, and overuse can clog the reeds. If they're really thick in the bottle (like a good vanilla essential oil), they can clog if you use too much. The leaves need to be changed about every 30 days, and I usually turn mine every few days or when I stop smelling it. The reed should be about twice the height of your bottle. They can be cut in half if they are large and your bottle is short. My favorite blend: 4 drops lemon, 3 drops sweet orange, 3 drops bergamot, 3 drops ylang ylang, 2 drops vanilla, 1 drop eucalyptus - sniff and adjust as you like. necessary, then add sweet almond and sugar cane oil. Mostly I use Aura Cacia brand essential oils but there are other good brands like Simplers Botancials etc. make their own blends with scents you like.
