I have a grandma's ring that is 1/2 or 1 size larger than me - it was loose enough that I was afraid it would slip off. It's a thin strip and I'm using size xxs so it's a bit difficult to get double sided tape into the size channel because it's so small. The tape holds the calibrator well on the ring, so even after weeks of showering, washing hands and washing dishes, the calibrator will not slip on the inside of the ring. It looks like a regular ring and doesn't feel "weird" like some of the other sizes I've used. Grandma's ring now fits perfectly and I can wear it without fear of it slipping off. An added bonus is that when I hold my palm up, the calibrator isn't very visible as it doesn't wrap around the strap - the ring strap is clearly visible and the transparent sides of the calibrator are almost invisible.
