My son prints most of the photos in our house so I didn't notice the problem right away. He tried to print a photo and complained about the colors (everything was too dark, too orange, washed out, etc.). We've tried head cleaning, color correction (Canon has a pretty slick system for this) and everything else, but the photos are still cartoonish-looking, washed out and miscolored. Remembering the printer was still working fine a few months ago, I figured the only thing that had changed was the ink. a lower estimate but realistic If I were to print charts and graphs for work I wouldn't care about the differences in quality that won't ruin my printer and they are a lot cheaper than high quality ink cartridges but if you really try print realistic ones photos, these cartridges are not for you.
