Review on Bose SoundLink Color II: Portable Bluetooth Accessories & Supplies for Cell Phone Accessories by Debbie Ziliak

Okay, while I've read product reviews and know people have had trouble charging and charging this speaker, I figured I was the exception. Turns out it wasn't me. The speaker comes with a charging cable but no plug. So I used what was on hand. I charged this speaker all night, sometimes several days, and yet when I turned it on it said "Battery is low." By coincidence I was at the local AT&T store and got a "cube" Bought. and a cable to charge my phone. It turns out that the cube I bought has ENOUGH AMPLIFIER and that seems to be the difference. So I used whatever old cable that matched the speaker plug and used my new, more powerful amp cube - lo and behold, the speaker was fully charged in no time. I'm attaching a photo so you know which model I bought and as I said I found it at AT&T but if you can find one with the same specs I bet it will work great! I love my speaker again!
