Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Edimax EW-7722UTn 300 Mbps Wireless 11n Mini-Sized USB Adapter: Enhanced Connectivity with EZmax Setup Wizard - White by Jose Guevara

Is working. for some time. on Network Adapters

The Edimax Mini USB Wireless Adapter is a great little WiFi adapter. When I first installed it, it set up and worked like a dream. Fast, good connections, great software to manage your connections (much better than the one built into Windows 7). The problem is when you remove it from some systems. I made the mistake of "ejecting" the device (safely remove hardware and eject media) and then plugging it back into the USP port. and nothing!. The rest is history. Tried uninstall, reinstall, uninstall and reinstall. Turning off other wireless adapters, etc. It turned out that the device "died". I ended up having to open Device Manager and see if the device showed up when plugged into the USB port. Then I manually installed the driver from the CD. Then my system recognized the device and I thought I was set. until I restarted the system and it was recognized again. Eventually I solved the problem by removing everything related to Edimax again, plugging the device into a USB port, manually installing the driver, manually installing the connection software, and then rebooting the system. That seemed to work for now. I'm not a computer genius, but I'm not a beginner either. This thing never seems to want to be disconnected from my computer. if this. well, read above. If you want a nice little Wi-Fi adapter and have a USB port that you don't use or need and you don't mind leaving it plugged in forever, I recommend. If you want to take it with you. Well I would advise you to be careful. I am sure that on some systems this would not be the case. but for me (windows 7, a few years with all the updates etc) it wasn't like that. I would recommend buying a more expensive brand if I had to do it again.
