I install home theater systems to make a living. I buy these units for use with larger home theater setups (with multiple units such as game consoles, video streamers, Blu-ray players, etc.). For smaller systems I use the 6-port model (see below). Here are the reasons I use these devices: 1) Quality. I only use high quality products in client installations. These devices differ qualitatively both in terms of characteristics and appearance. 2) protection. These surge protectors have a surge protection rating of 3840 J. That's a lot of protection; higher than most household surge protectors. This means that anything connected to them (like TVs and computers) has a better chance of surviving than a low-end voltage regulator. It is backed by $500,000 lifetime insurance. 3) Noise Filtering. This feature is only found on higher quality surge protectors. This function prevents devices (mixers, refrigerators, fans) from affecting the TV picture and sound quality during operation. They weigh about 5 pounds which makes them hard to the touch. 5) lungs. They connect and work. There are no buttons. Plug in, done. 6) Number of ports. 10 power connectors. This device is great if you have many devices connected to your TV (surround sound receivers, game consoles, video streamers, Blu-ray players, etc.). To date, none of these products have let me down.
