Bought one of these for a family bike ride. We just finished using it and I'm about to throw my thoughts away. Before that, however, I would like to tell you that I have spent about 35 years as an outdoor person, engaging in a variety of outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, biking, and hiking. I've had lightweight travel tents that go through wall tents with wood stoves. I've spent thousands of hours outdoors. I have used Kelty before and really like their products. Now a review for this product. Benefits -1. This thing is pretty light (although ultralight campers wouldn't call it light at all). But for the price, it's pretty light. For a true ultralight camping tent, spend $400 or more. This tent is SUPER easy to set up even in the dark. Simply unfold the tent, extend two (2) sets of poles, which takes about 20 seconds in total. Insert the ends of the poles into the colored sleeves and attach the tent body (net) to the poles. All of this can be easily installed by one person in about 3-4 minutes.3. Rainfly gives you a little more storage space for your gear.4. Good quality. As mentioned I have had Kelty products and they are of pretty good quality. Disadvantages -1. It's a bit heavy for ultra light touring2. It's a bit clunky for hiking. Car camping etc, this thing is pretty small compared to other tents you would find in a big store but they are not really the same. One of the clips that attaches the rain cover to the tent body did not fit properly. The male part of the buckle was slightly wider than the female part. The other three (3) fit perfectly. Again, I've been using outdoor and camping products for 35 years. In fact, I can set up my 12x20 foot wall tent in about 35-40 minutes. I am mechanically capable and very comfortable. I don't know if it was a defective part, but it was still annoying. Overall I thought it was very good value for money and suits cycling, car camping or hiking. My wife and daughters (15 and 7 years old) fit in and didn't complain about the narrowness.
