I inherited the bike from my brother who passed away. Unfortunately, the number plate holder he had on the bike somehow disappeared. So I gave it a try despite the only good reviews. Overall not a bad holder. I had some difficulties with the installation at first because the diameter of the mounting hole was slightly smaller than the diameter of the axle. Maybe it was a mistake on my part when measuring the axis. However, this meant a trip to the local machine shop to open the hole. After attaching, the following problem occurred. There is no set screw in the mount to hold it to the axle. Well, that might not be a problem on some bikes, but if you put it on a Harley like I did, it's a serious problem. So back to the machine shop to drill a small hole and tap the threads for the 10-32 set screw. Total additional $50 additional cost for processing. For so much extra money and time, it's hard to say this is actually a good deal. So measure carefully and decide if you need a set screw to hold the mount securely to your bike. If you have a strong vibration, you will. I think it looks good and after all my extra work it serves it's purpose. But I don't think I would choose this one again. thank you for reading
