Review on Afeax Home Button Replacement For IPhone 7/7 Plus/IPhone 8/IPhone 8 Plus (Rose Gold) Version 4 by Gary Davis

It works! And it costs 9 dollars

So I was very skeptical to buy because the cell phone repair shop told me that you can't replace the home button, you will lose Touch ID and the normal button function, but I Saw it and while I was skeptical the reviews convinced me to try it but bottom line is it costs $9 and brings back all the home button functionality except Touch ID. One thing to note I originally installed it and thought it didn't work because it didn't work, but I opened my phone up again and plugged it back in and cycled it off and on and it worked. So if you do make sure you get the connectors to line it up correctly, it should be plugged in just as securely as the battery connectors, it's not a soft connection if you get it right. I can't speak to the durability of the product yet as I just installed it. I see a few reviews saying it worked for about a month but I will update this review if I run into any issues with it but it will be honestly if you break the water seal (I did, because that replacement doesn't have an o-ring and so you're already losing waterproofing and the gasket is a nuisance) you can replace it in 20 minutes and $9 every few months to have a home button. It is definitely worth it. One thing I would say, if you take the time to fix it, by all means keep your original home button. This is the only way your phone will ever have Touch ID and you might get lucky and it might just be a broken flex cable (mine) and this product comes in the perfect protective case to keep your old one
