I make a lot of skirts for my little one. The patterns I use are mostly large rectangles. I love love love using a rotary cutter for all those straight lines instead of using scissors. With a rotary cutter, the process is much faster. I've also used it to cut out pieces to restore a set of sofa cushions - 12 in total. Cutting with scissors would take forever but so quick with a disc cutter. It really is the right size for cutting fabric, not too big not too small. The blade stays sharp even after many uses, but fabric cuts easier than paper. I have bought several replacement blades, but I still use the original blades and for 9 months the cutting ability has not decreased. I am thinking of buying a size 28mm for cutting paper as well
