This device is inaccurate. I use it in my grow tent and it's pure luck that I didn't ruin my harvest with that piece of crap. I calibrate it every day 3-4 times with two other temperature sensors. It's permanently off. I'm writing this review right now because my tent just dropped to 62 degrees which could destroy your plants while this POS showed 70 degrees just a few hours after I calibrated it. This useless device has caused me so much stress in this cultivation practice that I want to smash it with a hammer. It seems to work with freezers, for a grow tent it's nothing short of A BIG HEADACHE! I have a friend who is growing up and talking about it worse than me. Right now I'm looking for a remote hygrometer and I'm getting rid of this POS. 100% times ten, I would never buy that again!
