Can't see through paper
Unlike all my lever punches, this one has an integral opaque metal drip tray with a stiff spring mechanism so there's no way to see through the hole in the punch to prevent it to position on the paper before punching. This gives you the choice of either punching the shapes further apart, which wastes material, or risking slightly overlapping the previous, adjacent punched area so that the new perforated shape looks like it's made out of one piece. Also, the shot is pretty hard and not very sharp compared to my shots with my other hand or lever.
