I've been riding a road bike for about 12 years now. I always wore shorts and bibs from Garneau or Castelli. Some of my kits are a little dated so I decided to try some of Revain's less expensive brands as replacements to save money and also because the LG bibs that I love aren't currently available in my size in any store . So I thought I'd give them a chance. I rode it for 1.5 hours today to get a feel for it. In terms of fit, they seem close to what I expected. The only weird thing is the height of the braces. I'm not particularly tall (6'1") and the straps feel tight on my shoulders (US size XL). One thing I don't like (and this seems to be common with these cheap shorts) is the suede.. While not the thickest compared to other budget cycling shorts/overalls I've tried, they still feel very thick compared to the top brands I'm used to, this is particularly inconvenient when I'm not riding my bike. You have a wedge between your legs. It also doesn't go as wide in the back as the other shorts. Due to the thickness and type of saddle I'm riding, I have to think about how to fit it when I miss it actually seems to put more pressure on my sit bones./sharp edges which became irritating after about 20 minutes of riding.cut with sharp scissors but I wouldn't want to operate on a new pair of pants.Plus the tag very large and b Located at the side seam where the fabric is under tension and the label is pressed against your bias. It was ok for a short ride, but I think it gets annoying on longer rides. I've only ridden them once but I don't expect them to last more than a year. There are already a few loose stitches around the chamios. I'll give them a few more rides and update my review if anything changes.
