Decent lightweight bibs

Fit well. The side pockets are good for the occasional small flat item - credit cards etc. Maybe a few bills in a small pocket. You will hold the phone but it will be hot and sweaty. The back pockets are almost useless. Large, difficult to reach, cramped, not easy to get things in or out. It's okay, your tank top probably has better pockets. The bottom half (shorts) is fine, as are the Baleaf shorts I have. The upper (straps, elastics, etc.) appears to be a fragile material. Don't expect them…

Should be 5; I like it very much, but suede deserves 4

I like the bib very much. It fits me well. I am 5 feet 8 inches tall and weigh 170 pounds. 32 inch waist and it's perfect. Pros: I really like the fabric of the bib, it offers enough compression without feeling suffocating. I really like the thigh pockets. They come in handy for storing used glue bags etc. The cut is perfect for those mid cycle pit stops to lighten up. Kon: I don't really like suede. It's too thick and while I understand the reason for suede wrinkles, it should fit your body. I

Sturdy basic bibs priced at

Manufactured by well-known brands such as Pearl Izumi, Castelli and Rapha, these bibs are almost in the same league but cost a lot less. I've only ridden these a few times so far and they fit well most of the time, although the back is a little lower than my other bibs. The mids fit me a little less than other Baleaf shorts I own; I'm 5'9" tall, 180 pounds, 32" waist. When I opened the package I noticed that a few threads were sticking out, but I trimmed them without incident (so far). You…

Quality, price and size you can count on

After ordering cycling gear from Revain I found that Baleaf and Przewalski offer quality products at a good price. I have been very happy with my Baleaf products and this is no exception. I'm medium height, 35" waist, long legs and arms and 6'3". The quality of the shorts is excellent. I wish I had ordered a size up to XL to give me a little more material in the hips and the shoulder straps are a bit tight but workable. I never have to worry about sizing like some other suppliers do (converting

Good bib, terrible suede

If you've ever wondered why good bibs are so expensive, try them and you'll understand. The jumpsuit itself is really good. The fit is good, the pockets are well spaced and the leg grips keep them in place. Chamois is a nightmare. The positioning within the bib is such that the padding is pushed up creating a loose and lumpy effect over and around your fragile body parts. The effect is enhanced when the suede gets wet and absorbs enough sweat to hang down. This damp suede feel is uncomfortable…

Rubs Weird: Men

Let me start by saying that I love trying very cheap bibs and am hoping to find this great value gem somewhere along the way. I typically ride 160 miles a week, 35 miles on weekdays and 65 miles on weekends, up to four hours in the saddle. My stance is pretty aggressive for two road bikes, a gravel bike and an indoor setup. Unsuccessful cheap bibs are Santic, Prezwalski, Cerotipolar and almost the Baelef. I give this Baelef high marks in several areas. They are well made, the pockets are…

  • Unsure

I've long sworn by Performance Bike Elite bibs. For me, they were comfortable, durable, and inexpensive enough (I could find them on the shelf almost every time I walked in for around $25) not to worry. Well after Performance Bike left I was looking for something. to replace my breastplates when they are completely worn out. I saw them and was fascinated by the bags. They looked decent enough so I ordered a pair in blue to replace my old blue performance bibs which are 9 years old. First, I…

The jury hasn't appeared yet.

I've been riding a road bike for about 12 years now. I always wore shorts and bibs from Garneau or Castelli. Some of my kits are a little dated so I decided to try some of Revain's less expensive brands as replacements to save money and also because the LG bibs that I love aren't currently available in my size in any store . So I thought I'd give them a chance. I rode it for 1.5 hours today to get a feel for it. In terms of fit, they seem close to what I expected. The only weird thing is the…
