Review on 🌀 Spirograph Design Tin Set - 01002: Optimize Your Creativity by Marc Zitnik

I saw in reviews that putty was a problem but I ordered the kit anyway. Putty, as you read, is hard as a rock. But. But, but, but. As you work with it, it becomes less hard and more pliable. Also, you do NOT need a ton of it to attach the ring to the paper. If you can edit a small piece to the point where it softens, don't overdo the anchor points. It is enough just to connect it with paper so that the ring stays in place. An alternative to the putty that comes with the kit might be something like Loctite Fun-Tak; something usable and intended for displaying posters. Contrary to other reviews, I found the wheels and all plastic fasteners to be of good quality and not flimsy. Of course, they're not made out of the same plastic as the original kits - it's 2019, after all. Everything is changing. I also like the portable size of the set and the metal tin. The instructions are very helpful and give many great tips. I like a small notebook but it seems too restrictive so I practiced on Bristol paper. This is another thing to keep in mind: putty will stick to paper that has a tooth. So if it's rough at all, you could end up with sediment that's difficult to remove. All in all it was fun and inspiring.
