I've just received a new high speed SD card from Sandisk (which claims to be extremely reliable and fast - I can't say if it's reliable but it's definitely fast) . Somehow I don't like this camera. It's 32GB which I intentionally chose instead of a 64GB card as some devices with cards larger than 32 won't work. It works with my MP3 players and other cameras. The picture quality is pretty bad. My Moto E4 has 13 megapixels versus the Kodak's 16, and yet the Motorola shots (the camera itself isn't particularly impressive) are about twice as sharp. In images from a Motorola phone, I can read text on a pill bottle that is half the size of the smallest legible text in images from Kodak. It's nice to have a true 4x optical zoom, but at 2x zoom the Kodak just looks like a cropped cellphone photo. Functionally, this camera really only has a 2x zoom compared to the long shot on my phone. I'd rather just take a general shot and later crop the exact part I want. I also have a Samsung SL30 which was a little better a few years ago and is better too. Unfortunately, I think the point and shoot camera industry is basically dead. Focusing speed is good for a cheap camera, but image processing and storage is slower than I expected. Some people complain that the batteries run out quickly. Perhaps this camera is less efficient than it should be, but alkaline batteries are generally not good for cameras as the zoom/focus and image processing actually use a lot of power, even if it's just for a second or two. Alkaline batteries are terrible because they drain quickly, even in such short bursts. I like AA cameras because you can always carry some AAs with you in case of an emergency, but for regular use you should use disposable lithium or rechargeable NiMHs. Overall, there seems to be very little reason to own this camera. I wanted an acceptable quality camera to be used separately from my phone, but it's not.
