I bought one and it only worked for a few scans. I tried everything to get it working but the driver software wouldn't load. The tech department was great but it still didn't work. I sent it back and received the same make and model. The second has been working flawlessly since the beginning of autumn. Our school is open and closed depending on the number of sick students and staff, so we have to alternate between school and distance learning. I was able to scan documents to put in my Google classroom for my students when we were remote. It came in a handy box with a pen, so I leave it at school but take it home when I switch to the remote. It does what I need, does its job well, and is worth the time saving.
