Great item for teaching kids responsibility

I bought an I can do this activity/routine for my 4 year old son. He has problems with impulsive control and emotional control. We've only had this article for a few days, but so far it's helping. He likes to have his own responsibility. This makes him feel like a "big boy", also gives him a daily/weekly goal and encourages good behavior. He also likes to wear his stars every night before bed. This subject helps to teach him both responsibility and accountability. If he doesn't reach the target number of stars for the week, he won't get a reward. We can also look back and see what stars he didn't get, and I can explain to him why he didn't get any for that task. This will help him know that if he doesn't listen or makes poor behavioral choices, there are consequences and that they are the result of his actions. This item is one of the best things I've bought in a long time. I can only recommend it to every family with children.

Pros
  • INCREASED INCENTIVES: You have a hard time getting kids to clean up after themselves. You endlessly encourage her to do her homework. Wouldn't you like to hear please and thank you more often? Project "I can do it". The reward table can help with this. Children love to be praised and a little encouragement goes a long way. This chart gives parents the tools to raise more responsible and confident children.
