You need to be clearly visible so you can't tell what radio frequency you're listening to. Otherwise the ratings will be correct. The CD and tape ads are patchy and inadequate. Good thing it plays cassettes and CDs; Well, the speakers deliver good sound for a compact device, and it's pretty damn portable. This radio frequency thing is driving me crazy though. Who does it? Blind Radio Tuning gives them 2 stars. UPDATE - The second time I used the ribbon feature it decided not to work. Very frustrating. Tried 10 tapes, nothing. Desperate, he hit him and he started playing. Conclusion: Combined with the lack of radio frequency and the unreliability, I do not recommend this device. UPDATE 2: After a day the tape recorder stopped working.
